We use papercut and share the cost with our library. We used to have free printing and there was so much waste and abuse. Now we give the students an amount to start with and when that runs out they can add additional money. It gave the students the option for great color copies also. It also allows the library to have guest accounts for printing. It did take a considerable amount of time with IT to get the set up right, but works great now.

We use a product called LPT One from a company called Envisionware. I'd suggest checking with your library to see what they use. You might even be able to use their license.

Subject: [LRNASST-L] Printing Solutions?

Are any of you using a print management vendor that is up to date (more or less) in technology, and that students and staff seem to like?

We need to update and are looking at companies such as GoPrint that offer wireless and wired print management solutions, including payment processing from the student side. Any experiences or recommendations you have are appreciated.

Thanks,
David
