Various social computing applications have been profoundly change social behaviours and digital life styles of humankind whilst pushing the boundaries of Internet technologies. While people can enjoy or even indulge in the benefits such as freedom and convenience brought about by social computing, various critical issues such as Energy-efficiency, incentive mechanisms, trust, privacy, HCI design, and the modelling as well as understanding of social behaviours via computational means provide significant challenges. SocialCom 2015 was created to provide a prime international forum for researchers, industry practitioners and domain experts to exchange the latest fundamental advances in the state of the art and practice of Social Computing & Networking (including architecture, issues and applications, etc.) and its broadly related areas. SocialCom 2015 will be held on Dec. 19th-21st, 2015 in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: ¡ñ Fundamentals of social computing ¡ñ Modelling of social behavior ¡ñ Social network analysis and mining ¡ñ Big social media data ¡ñ Social media infrastructure and cloud computing ¡ñ Computational models of social simulation ¡ñ Web 2.0 and semantic web ¡ñ Innovative HCI and touch-screen models ¡ñ Modelling of social conventions and social contexts ¡ñ Social cognition and social intelligence ¡ñ Social media analytics and intelligence ¡ñ Group formation and evolution ¡ñ Security, privacy, trust in social contexts ¡ñ Social system design and architectures ¡ñ Information retrieval ¡ñ Group interaction, collaboration, representation ¡ñ Handheld/mobile social computing ¡ñ Service science and service interaction design ¡ñ Cultural patterns and representation ¡ñ Emotional intelligence and opinion representation ¡ñ Mobile commerce and e-markets ¡ñ Connected e-health in social networks ¡ñ Social policy and government management ¡ñ Social blog, micro-blog and internet forum ¡ñ Business social software systems ¡ñ Impact in complex and dynamic environments ¡ñ Collaborative filtering, mining and prediction ¡ñ Social computing applications and case studies ¡ñ Mobile social networking and computing ¡ñ Social services in proximiy --------------- IMPORTANT DATES --------------- Submission Deadline: Sep. 15th, 2015 Author Notification: Oct. 15th, 2015 Camera Ready: Oct. 31th, 2015 Registration Deadline: Nov. 15th, 2015 --------- WORKSHOPS --------- The SocialCom 2015 Organizing Committee invites proposals for one-day workshops affiliated with the conference and addressing research areas related to the conference.
