Hi all,

I am looking for the email that included a recent report about synchronous versus asynchronous tutoring. Does anyone know who posted it?

Many thanks,

We have just adopted NetTutor's WorldWideWhiteboard platform, which lets you use the NetTutor whiteboard environment but with your own tutors. They have a flat annual rate for learning centers.

Feel free to contact me off-list for more info.

Subject: Request for Online Tutoring Information/Platforms

Hello Colleagues,

I am writing you from City College of San Francisco as a new Interim Chair of the Learning Assistance Center. I am in the process of amping up our tutoring services and am in need of some professional referrals for online tutoring. Currently, we use "gotomeeting.com<http://gotomeeting.com>," but it is not efficient enough to meet the needs of our other 8 centers.

Does anyone have any recommendations or feedback on any current online tutoring software out there? We have looked into NetTutor, and although their services are highly recommended, I am hoping to find a platform or software that we can purchase and train our own peer tutors to use.

Any recommendations or opinions on what is currently out there would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

In solidarity,

Elaine Avrus, Interim Chair
