We are preparing the fall edition of the NCLCA Newsletter. I would like to share with you the themes and deadlines for submission for the upcoming newsletters:

Fall Edition

*         Publication date is 15 Nov

*         Theme: Reflection on Conference

o   500 words or less.

o   Photos are encouraged

*         Submission deadline: 31 Oct

*         Additional articles solicited:

o   Tutor Spotlight: 250 words about a tutor or SI Leader and their contributions. Submission must include a photo of the subject and should mention any certifications or awards received.

o   Practitioner's Corner: 500 words about techniques and strategies for improving learning center effectiveness or student outcomes.

o   Campus Visit: 500 word description of a learning center. Submissions should include programs offered, organizational structure, marketing strategies and techniques, collaborative efforts, and hiring or training practices. Photos are highly encouraged.

o   Book or Article Review: 300 words. Must include publication information.

*         All submission:

o   Must include name and institution of the author(s)

o   May include graphs, pictures, and charts

o   Must be submitted to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>

Winter Edition

*         Publication date is 15 Feb 2016

*         Theme: Technology in Learning Support

*         Submission deadline: 2 Jan 2016

*         Articles solicited:

o   Themed articles have the same word limitation as described above.

o   Other articles are the same as above.

Final note: While occasional excepts to the word limit are allowed, authors desiring to exceed the limit must request approval to do so in advance.
