This morning, 10/26, I had a major influx of 197 Lesser Black-backed Gulls on the beach stretching north from the base of the north jetty at Ponce de Leon Inlet, Volusia County. The very high tides flooded all of the sandbars in the Inlet and all of the birds were stacked up on the beach. There were thousands of gulls and terns along the beach. High tide will also be early tomorrow morning so this same event should take place early tomorrow morning.
