SUBJECT: Professional Development: NSF Proposal Writing and the Merit Review Process

The UF Graduate School Division of Graduate Student Affairs invites all graduate students to attend the “NSF Proposal Writing and the Merit Review Process” professional development workshop on October 4th at 4pm in Room LG101A, The DeWeese Auditorium of the McKnight Brain Institute.

The National Science Foundation is an incredible source of funding for your research, but the process of acquiring that funding can be difficult. If you’re curious about the process, or you need more information than you currently have, come hear Dr. Marc Branham, Dept. of Entomology and Nematology, former Program Director of the NSF Division of Environmental Biology, Systematics and Biodiversity Sciences Program, speak about the NSF’s proposal review process, merit review criteria, how decisions are made, why proposals fail, and the preparation related to developing proposals.
