NETWORKING AND EMPLOYER CONNECTIONS FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS

Are you a graduate student planning for a non-academic or industry career, seeking to network with employers? The Career Resource Center (CRC) is here to support graduate students through creating employer connections and networking opportunities!  Check out the events below for networking opportunities in STEM and other fields.

 

Industry Connections for STEM Graduate Students:

February 2nd from 5:00-6:30pm in the CRC Library
Attend this new networking event to develop relationships with Industry Employers hiring students with PhDs in STEM! Representatives from employers including Teach for America, the Middlesex Corporation, and Chewy.com will be available to discuss employment opportunities within their respective companies for graduate degree holders. Bring copies of your updated resume, dress in business professional attire, and be prepared to deliver your elevator pitch!

Pre-Showcase Meet Up:

January 25th from 6:30-8pm in Emerson Alumni Hall.

Network with employers in a less formal setting to learn what they are seeking from candidates. Connect with employers including Gartner, Intel, Nextech, NextEra Energy, Inc., and more at this free-flowing event! Business casual attire is appropriate. Career Showcase:

January 26th (Non-Technical) & 27th (Technical), 9am-3pm in the O’Connell Center.

Attend this fair to learn about graduate level job and internship opportunities nationwide from hundreds of employers. Hundreds of employers and opportunities for graduate students are available at Career Showcase and through the CRC. Research employers on Gator Career Link, dress professionally, and bring copies of your resume!
