We use starfish right now. The faculty are required to put in absences. We have the ability to put in kudo's and flags also (we like this since any comments also go to the student). The one thing from our experience I would mention is that you need to be clear how you want to use it and what benefit it will bring. We were told it would help "close the gap" and keep everyone connected. If this doesn't happen, faculty feel like their time is being wasted and are resentful.
