The upcoming European Social Networks Conference (Paris, 14-17 June) will offer both a workshop and a session on agent-based models and how they may be fruitfully combined with network science.
On 14 June, Yasaman Sarabi and I will offer an introductory workshop on 'Introduction to NetLogo and agent-based models of networks'. It consists of 2 sessions: the first (1pm-4pm) familiarizes participants with the basics of agent-based modelling, while the second (4:30pm-7:30pm) explores NetLogo's functionalities in greater depth. For details please see:
On 15 June, Gianluca Manzo and I will chair a session (9:25am - 12:15pm) entitled 'Network science and agent-based models: what cooperation?' The six papers presented in the session propose different ways of exploring synergies between the two approaches,
and of reflecting on the benefits of integrating them. For details please see:
All EUSN 2016 participants are most welcome to attend!
