One of the community colleges in New Jersey runs an extremely successful program of this nature. Their dean or associate dean presented on it three years ago at the National Tutoring Association conference. I believe the lady overseeing it became the NTA president the next year. I apologize for the lack of details, but it should give you a lead. It is a 7 week program to get their developmental coursework taken care of so that they can enter the university college ready in the fall. We are only offering it to our local students because we are only collecting $50 per student and paying for their textbooks. Therefore, we are not providing any campus housing for it. We hope to get a grant to fund this endeavor in the future. > > I can put you in contact with the dean who is in charge of it if you'd like more information. > Glenna > Glenna Heckler-Todt, M.A., Cert.
