The Department of Clinical, Neuro, and Developmental Psychology at VU University Amsterdam offers a four-year PhD studentship in the section Clinical Developmental Psychology. The studentship is part of the program Social cognition in adolescence: brain networks and social networks, which is funded by an ERC Consolidator Grant. The research is embedded in the institute for Brain and Behavior Amsterdam (iBBA). The aim of the ERC program is to integrate social brain research and social network research, focusing on adolescence as the most dynamic phase shaping the interplay between social networks and the social brain. This PhD project investigates social cognitive development in adolescence from a social network perspective. The project will closely collaborate with the two other PhD projects within the program, which focus on social cognitive development in adolescence from a brain and behaviour perspective.
