Our center has extended tutoring hours during final exams. In addition, the College has a program primarily led by our Center called “Cougar Countdown,” during which we offer a variety of stress-relieving activities during exam week. You can view our schedule for this semester’s activities using the link below. In terms of advertising for our events we utilize our website, Facebook page, and printed signs that are put up in different locations around campus.
Because we have a shortened final exams period this year due to the hurricane in October, we had to cut out some activities we usually have. One of these is called “Ask a Prof,” where professors set up tables in a designated location (i.e. a café or other open area) and students can come ask specific questions they have regarding preparation for final exams. Our program is very well-received. Hope this is helpful!
I hope this email finds you doing well! I was wondering if any of you put together any programs/events to assist students with finals. If so, what are they and how do you advertise these programs/events? I’m trying to find a way to utilize our tutors in a more effective way before finals, and wondering what would be the best way to communicate with the student body about these programs/events.
Thank you for any assistance you can provide!
