I also bring Level III’s to conference, when I can. It is so beneficial, but funding is always a challenge.

Oh this is awesome. I am completely stealing your idea. Lol. Thanks for such a great tip. I find the other levels easier to train and Level III folks to be more challenging. I forgot to mention that I try to bring a group of Level
III tutors to a regional conference. They get a ton of topics then.

Hi Rebecca,
We also include a training session on current topics in learning support literature. We expect our people seeking level III to study the selected articles and come to a meeting where we discuss the quality of
the research in the article reviewed, the key points made, and the implications for our learning center.

Subject: thoughts on Level III training
Hello Tutoring Peeps and happy almost break.
I am sending a quick email to ask for some ideas as to what folks are using for their Level III training for tutors. Right now, I have them training the other tutors during the large group trng and also leading some campus info sessions
on such things as study skills. I also do a research project where they find more info about other learning centers. Does anyone have other ideas that your center uses? I’d love to add some to my training.
Thanks, everyone.
