RE:          McKnight Doctoral Fellowship Announcement  Application Deadline January 15th, 2017



We request your assistance in encouraging eligible PhD applicants to submit an application for McKnight Doctoral Fellowship (MDF). The MDF program, established in 1984, is designed to address the underrepresentation of African-American and Hispanic faculty at colleges and universities in the state of Florida by increasing the number of students who earn a PhD. The MDF award provides an annual base stipend of $12,000 with tuition and fees for a up to five years.



Eligibility Requirements:  The McKnight Doctoral Fellowship is limited to African-American and Hispanic students who are U.S. citizens and admitted into a PhD program at a participating institution. Eligible students applying for admission to a UF PhD program for FALL 2017 enrollment must apply this cycle. The application can be completed at www.fefonline.org/mdfapply/<http://www.fefonline.org/mdfapply/>. The deadline for applications is January 15, 2017.



Fellowship Application Process: Applications for the McKnight Doctoral Fellowship must be submitted directly to the Florida Education Fund by January 15, 2017 for consideration for funding fall term 2017.  www.fefonline.org/mdfapply/<http://www.fefonline.org/mdfapply/>
