Hello everyone!


There is less than a week left to register your poster for the Graduate Student Research Day poster session! Take advantage of this opportunity to practice your presentation skills and compete with your peers for top poster awards - two 1st place prizes of 500$ and two 2nd place prizes of 200$ each will be awarded to the poster winners who will also represent UF at the Florida Statewide Research Symposium! Only the first 200 students registered can compete in the poster competition.


Register your abstract by March 3rd, 2017, for a spot in the poster competition at http://ogap.graduateschool.ufl.edu. Faculty and postdocs are invited to attend and register as judges. You can also register as an attendee if you do not wish to present a poster.

The Organization for Graduate Student Advancement and Professional Development, the UF Graduate School and the UF Office of Research are pleased to host the Graduate Student Research Day on Monday, April 3rd 2017 in the Grand Ballroom of the Reitz Union! This event—designed to showcase the breadth of research across the UF campus—revolves around a poster presentation competition and will feature keynote speakers.


The theme for the GSRD 2017 is 'NETWORKING'. Attendees will be able to refine their networking skills, learn from top scholars, and network with people from various disciplines and industries. The keynote speakers for the event are:

1. Dr. Julie Dodd, Professor, College of Journalism and Communications, UF.

2. Dr. Alex Sevilla, Associate Dean and Director of the Heavener School of Business, UF.
