Want to get started writing code or refresh your data analysis skills? Come
to the Software Carpentry workshop held at the UF Informatics Institute on
Thursday and Friday May 25 & 25 from 9:00 to 4:30. This is a two day
training workshop focused on teaching basic software development skills for
scientists and researchers in a hands-on lab-style format. We will cover
the basics of the Unix shell, programming in Python, version control with
git and Github, and database queries using SQL.

Seats are limited and there is a $30 registration fee which include lunch
