Dear Socnetters,

This is a kind reminder to our call for abstract at the *2nd Workshop on Statistical Physics for Financial and Economic Networks*, which will be a satellite workshop of the forthcoming International School and Conference on Network Science, NetSci, to be held in Indianapolis, Indiana during 19-23, June 2017.

Financial institutions are the nodes of a multiplex whose layers represent the various market instruments through which they are connected. However, the relationship between the fragility of a financial system and the pattern of its interconnections has become particularly evident only after
the recent financial crisis.

This satellite aims at bringing together scholars active in the field of financial networks analysis to discuss the state-of-the-art of research, identify the most relevant and urgent problems and, possibly, create the occasion for new collaborations.

*The scope of coverage includes but is not limited to: *

- Statistical physics approach to economic and financial issues

- Systemic risk from a complex network perspective

- Time-variant economic and financial networks

- Multiplex representation of financial systems

- Financial data for network representation

- Machine learning algorithms for economic and financial systems
