Dr. Julianna Barnes, President of Cuyamaca College
Dr. Barnes began her tenure as President of Cuyamaca College in October 2015. She brings more than 27 years of experience in higher education to this position, including over 18 years of collegial leadership in the California Community Colleges. As an equity-minded practitioner and leader, Dr. Barnes has a deep commitment to breaking through institutional barriers to student success and equity. She has published and presented at numerous state and national conferences on topics such as student learning, success and equity, institutional effectiveness and developmental education reform.
