Greetings from NCALM!
For those you have already applied for this year's NCALM Seed award, thank you.
Those of you who are contemplating to apply, please do so at your earliest convenience.
Closing date is Midnight, Dec 22, 2017 CST.
Details at: http://ncalm.cive.uh.edu/seed/about
NCALM will collect three wave length lidar observations using its Titan Multi Wave system for a max of 40 sq. km. area anywhere in the lower 48 States of US. It is free and NO COST TO YOU. That means sites in Alaska and Hawaii will not be accepted. Data are collected simultaneously by Titan’s three wavelengths (532, 1064 and 1500 nm). Since the green 532 nm laser penetrates water, topography and bathymetry can be collected at the same time. Note that water penetration is dependent on the clarity of the water. Titan has penetrated 15 meter or so in clear water. We expect to collect 10 – 20 topographic points per square meter.
All proposals will be evaluated by NCALM Steering Committee Members and anticipated award date is early to mid February, 2018.
