UF WiSE (Women in Science and Engineering) will hold elections in our last Spring GBM meeting<> on Wednesday, April 18th from 5-7 PM in ROG122. No prior experience with WiSE is required to get involved now! All you need is to fill out a nomination form<> and come tell us a bit about yourself and you WiSE plans.

Also during the meeting, the Manbassador Committee would like to facilitate a focus group to get a clear picture of the difficulties women face in their respective STEM fields, as well as develop a dialogue on ways to move forward given our collective resources.

The focus group will be oriented around three main questions, which can then branch off into any number of topics that the group finds appropriate:

1) What are the barriers you have experienced in your STEM career?

2) What things could facilitate a more positive, inclusive, and empowering STEM career?

3) What is your experience like navigating different barriers?

The outcomes from this meeting are crucial and will contextualize any efforts incited by the Manbassador Committee in collaboration with WiSE leadership for the upcoming academic year. If you cannot attend the GBM but would like to contribute your thoughts, please email [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> , (Gabe) [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> or (Alex) [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> .
