Funding Opportunity:  Apply by 5/25 for UF CES Graduate Assistantship

The UF Center for European Studies (CES) is looking to hire a graduate assistant (GA) for Fall 2018.

The assistantship is a .33 FTE appointment  (13 hours a week) and comes with the standard nine-hour credit hour tuition waiver.

The appointment may be renewed for Spring 2019, but continued funding in not guaranteed.

The graduate assistant will perform a variety of tasks, including (but not limited to) participating in data collection for upcoming grant proposals, assisting during outreach events and activities, posting flyers and posters around campus, and staffing the main office from time to time.

Applications from all departments within the UF College of Liberal Arts and Sciences are welcome, but the center has a strong preference for hiring a graduate assistant actively pursuing doctoral research on a European topic, broadly defined.

Applicants must submit a copy of their transcript, a letter of interest, and a short description of their (anticipated) research to Amie Kreppel ([log in to unmask]), Director of the UF Center for European Studies.

Also, all applications must include a brief letter of support from the graduate coordinator of the applicant’s program.

Supplemental letters of support from faculty advisors or mentors are encouraged, but not required.

The deadline for complete application packages is Friday, May 25, 2018.

If you have questions, please email Amie Kreppel at [log in to unmask].
