Hey Matt,

I would definitely be interested in presenting an overview of the UF Carpentries Club at the Carpentries conference, potentially including information on our piloted workshop series (which concludes today). I have access to some travel funding through the UF R Meetups, probably not enough to cover the entire cost of the trip but definitely could help funding.

My schedule is open tomorrow, if you and/or other board members have time we could meet up and put together ideas for an abstract.

Let me know what you think,
Justin Millar

Note that abstracts are due 3/5 for CarpentryCon.

Would anyone from UF like to present an overview of the UF Carpentries club?

The Carpentries are having their first conference on 5/30 - 6/1 in Dublin, Ireland. It would be great to have UF representation there. If you are interested in going, please let the UF Carpentry Club board know and we'll work on finding some travel support. Early registration (at a discount) closes 3/15. If you are interested in speaking or presenting something, that is possible.

The Carpentries puts out a bi-weekly newsletter that summarizes the mailing list and other Carpentries activities. It is an easy and approachable way to keep up with all the activities in the Carpentry community and I encourage you to join:
