This peer-reviewed journal features research-based practices aimed at improving engagement and achievement among literacy learners aged 12 and older. Our primary readers are middle and secondary school teachers and administrators, pre-service teachers, postsecondary teachers, librarians, media specialists, literacy coaches, curriculum specialists, researchers, and policymakers. Topics of interest are curriculum, instruction, assessment, and programs for diverse populations of literacy learners across the globe; adolescents’ and adults’ consumption and production of visual, digital, and print-based texts; and content-area and disciplinary literacies.
