Water Supply Planner  Suwannee River Water Management
This position is housed within the Office of Minimum Flows and Levels and Water Supply, and will report to the Water Supply Program Manager. This is professional work supporting the collection, analysis, and interpretation of water data in support of the Districts Water Supply and Minimum Flows and Minimum Levels programs.

Responsibilities include

  *   Researching, gathering, reviewing and analyzing water use data and/or water use projections,
  *   Preparation and implementation of basic statistical analyses,
  *   Evaluation of hydrologic data pertaining to water demands, water supply, water conservation, and minimum flows and minimum levels, including calculating effects of withdrawals on water levels,
  *   Preparing and analyzing data to support the development of water supply projects,
  *   Preparation of tables, charts, and maps that effectively convey water supply information to internal and external audiences,
  *   Preparing and editing reports related to water supply and planning,
  *   Meeting with water users, assisting with public presentations, and coordinating internal and external reviews of data,
  *   Management of water data (Microsoft Access and Excel), and
  *   Related work as required.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in planning, agriculture, resource economics, geography, hydrology, statistics, engineering or a natural science related field and one year of professional work experience in water supply planning, water resource management, or a closely related field. Programming experience or experience analyzing data using statistical software is highly desired.

A master's degree from an accredited college or university in planning, environmental science, agriculture, resource economics, geography, hydrology, statistics, engineering or a natural science related field can substitute for one year of the required experience.
