Dear Ulrik and colleagues,

Thanks for opening this debate.

It seems to me that this could be elaborated in terms of different research agendas. That could add an intellectual layer to the idea of waves and fashions. I agree that super-concepts do not help us further; they are only another (potentially helpful) specialty.

A crucial difference seems to me whether one specifies expectations or assumes "data" as observations without further reflection.
