Hello BESTers,

Canada's National Zero Waste Council recently released a comprehensive
strategy to tackle food waste on a national scale. "A Food Loss and Waste
Strategy for Canada" encourages systematic and consumer behavior changes
that can lead to reducing food waste and its impact. Among the top
recommendations are calling for a national 50% food waste reduction goal by
2030, clarifying date labeling, and promoting innovative technology that
prevent food loss. While much of food waste relies on individual choices
and behaviors, these nationwide strategies and goals can help set the stage
for sweeping wins in the fight against food waste.

Have a great weekend,

Ryan
