Fascinating, whatever it is. Have not seen that before.
The photo is pretty poor, and only one to go on. Kim, can you (or the field researchers) be 100% certain that it is a holothuroid?

Very interesting. Wonder what the ossicles look like. Any chance of it being young of atra or leucospilota?

Now I see the other pictures - only one (the close-up) downloaded at first.
Fingers and dead rubble of Acropora branches give an approx. scale - pretty small !
