Future Faculty Diversity Program for Engineers Launching Academics on the Tenure-Track: An Intentional Community in Engineering (LATTICE) is a national program to advance faculty diversity in engineering. It couples a national
Symposium with peer Mentoring Circles to: support early-career, post-PhD women as they navigate engineering faculty careers; impact participants’ career self-efficacy, sense of belonging and career-advancing behaviors; and introduce informal, sustainable
support structures into the academic landscape. This year's program is focused on underrepresented minority women in engineering. Participants’ LATTICE experience begins with a four-day retreat-like symposium focusing on career skills, self-reflection and conversations about identity (e.g. gender, race/ethnicity) and the academy. Symposium
activities lay the foundation for deeper and ongoing support through the LATTICE peer Mentoring Circles.
