The Teaching Center, in conjunction with the Graduate School and Academic Technology’s Training and Education department, conducts several workshops each semester which are designed to help new teachers (especially teaching assistants) improve their teaching skills.  This spring the workshops will focus on teaching with technology, and a “Certificate of Participation” will be awarded to all who complete at least 10 of the 14 workshops.  The workshops will typically be conducted on Tuesdays from 5-7pm beginning on Tuesday, January 8th with a workshop on “Technology for Teaching in UF Classrooms.”  (The second workshop on “Cyber Security and Student Data” will be held on Thursday 1/10/19, and one online workshop can be taken at the time of your choosing.)  For a description of the workshops and to register, please visit the Teaching Center web site under “Teaching More Effectively Workshop Series.”  For further information call 392-2010.
