This award is for an outstanding educator who is an excellent teacher, tutor, director, coordinator, or scholar in the field of post- secondary reading, writing, mathematics, or developmental education.
Outstanding Contributor to the Field
This award is for a college level administrator or educator who has shown exemplary service to others in their work with students and colleagues in the fields of learning assistance, tutoring, and developmental education.
CALL FOR PROPOSALS:
Proposals for 45 minute concurrent sessions are welcome from anyone with a passion for and occupation in learning assistance, including learning assistance professionals, faculty, peer educators, graduate students, or. Concurrent session presenters will benefit from a discounted conference fee. Please be sure to include the following in your proposal:
o Title of the session
o Intended audience and learning objectives
o 50-100 word description of topic and how it will be addressed
o Relation of topic to conference theme – please keep in mind that literacy isn’t limited
to traditional ideas of reading and writing – proposals representing the broad range of disciplines and uses of literacy are encouraged!
o Full name(s), organization affiliation, e-mail, and phone number of session
o Technology requests (rooms will have HDMI and/or VGA hook ups for projectors)
