Just a few thoughts from our experience:
- Casters on
everything for maximum mobility and flexibility
- Portable whiteboards get a
lot of use in our space
- Fabric seat cushions are more comfortable and generally more attractive, but make sure they clean easily; frequent
stains are to be expected in high-traffic areas
- Consider power and charging needs if you can; AC outlets and USB ports built into the furniture (or on portable
stands) can be pricey, but they will definitely get a lot of use

Hello LRSNASST Group!
I am being charged with designing a new (modestly sized) learning center on our campus. Hooray!
I wanted to know what your best – and even worst – Learning Center purchases have been. In particular, what furniture has worked best for flexibility and what pieces were purchased with great intentions but tutors later did not use them
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Bonus points for hyperlink and/or contact information for vendors.
