Call for abstracts

Session on Communication Networks



Since the subject of communication is relational by definition, SNA is
gaining increasing importance to study the structure of communication
infrastructure, content, actors, and processes. The session on
communication networks welcomes both theoretical and empirical
contributions describing the overall structure of the networks (e.g.,
polarization), discussing specific roles (e.g., opinion leaders) or
analysing dynamic processes (e.g., selection or diffusion of information).
The subject of analysis may include networks of individuals using different
media technologies or content, organizations that are producing,
distributing or regulating media, infrastructure through which
communication is transmitted, and the structure between distinct entities
of communication (websites, articles, tweets etc.).



Abstracts are limited to 500 words, not including the title, and should not
contain references. You will be asked to indicate “Communication Networks”
as your preferred session and to designate a speaker.  Contributors are
restricted to one presentation but may be co-authors of multiple
submissions. Presentations are allocated 15 minutes plus 5 minutes for
discussion.
