Assistant Professor – Freshwater Ecology
60% Teaching, 40% Research
9-Month, Tenure Track-Position

The successful candidate will develop a regionally and internationally recognized research program addressing the ecology of benthic organisms and their interactions in freshwater systems, including growing threats such as: invasive exotic organisms, climate change, and habitat change. The candidate will teach two courses per year (“Freshwater Ecology – Applied Limnology” and “Water for the Future”), team-teach two courses per year, and develop and teach one graduate course related to their area of expertise.

Principal Research Support Specialist
Full-time TEAMS Position

We are looking for a research coordinator for a Gulf Coast Elevation Mapping and Height Modernization project. The project involves collecting and analyzing Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS)-captured lidar and multispectral data in coastal areas, developing open-source methods to store and disseminate lidar data, developing methods to estimate and improve the accuracy of laser scanner data, developing methods to characterize coastal formation changes, and facilitating outreach, education, and training through hosting workshops and other events.
