Hi Stormy,

 

When we first started our early alert system, we went to the departments to encourage use. We then send emails every term of the number of cases that faculty sent and were resolved. We also give the percentage of faculty using the system and faculty testimonials. We found we had to go back to the departments to present again. This time we used testimonials from the division that the department was in if we didn’t have a department testimonial. We also told them how we resolve cases and how students have been more successful. Those methods have increased our usage. We talk about it being a community responsibility.

Our institution has an Early Alert function, but also an individual case function. We're really interested in growing our cases. What protocol are you all using with cases and alerts? How do we get more faculty to complete cases and how do we get more students to come in to our office from cases? Feel free to respond on or off list.
