All of the institutions where I've been employed, training was a requirement of the job. If they're already hired, I don't see why those individuals wouldn't also be required to attend. It could be presented as a professional development opportunity.

Subject: Requiring a Tutor Training Course

Hello,

This is an old subject, but because my college has transformed our tutor training courses, questions have been raised from our department as to whether or not we can require new and current tutors to take the level one course.  We have always encouraged them to enroll in the course, but can there be a requirement to do so?

Please advise.
Thank you.
