Dear Socnet/Sunbelt community, at this year’s Sunbelt we have, for the first time, awarded best poster, um, awards. Because the poster session was Saturday, the awards could not be announced at Sunbelt. I announce them here, in the form of the email below from the chair of the Poster Awards Committee, Ian McCulloh. INSNA would like to thank Ian and the committee (Matt Brashears, Chris Marcum, Anthony Johnson, Benjamin Ortiz and Kayla de la Haye for their yeo(wo)man service.

The posters were scored by at least two judges on a 5-point Likert scale across four categories: 1) use of SNA, 2) novelty, 3) impact, 4) clarity. The best plain language was scored for use of SNA, clarity, and plain language. The top two posters from 4 of 6 judges were additionally viewed by additional judges to boost the sample for likely winners. Judge scores were normed and scaled.
