You'll be working in the Learning Center as part of a fun-loving and hard working department that's committed to student success, retention and completion. Coordinates operations of the Student Help Center to provide just-in-time assistance to current students on a variety of subjects affecting retention and progression. Responds to work situations with minimum guidance and may be responsible for guiding and/or reviewing the work of others. Works with the Dean to identify and respond to the student’s immediate needs in accordance with college policies, priorities and strategies. Assists current students in problem solving, college navigation, and resource referral. Incumbent is a key contributor to the success of the educational program by supporting retention and progression through utilization of the College’s Early Alert System.
It's true that this full-time 1.0 FTE contracted position with full benefits is temporary fixed for two years. The expectation is that the Student Help Center will be successful in achieving program goals and will then move from the temporary funding allocation to permanent general funding.
