The Graduate School and the Office of Admissions are in the process of coding the Slate (MyAdmissions) system to accommodate the decisions made by various master’s degree programs regarding the use of GRE scores in admissions.
Until that coding is completed and fully implemented, Fall 2020 master’s degree applicants with no GRE scores will continue being forwarded to the college and/or the Graduate School for review, even if those programs have decided to opt out of using the GRE. It is hoped that the necessary coding will be completed in the coming weeks and that this issue will be of relatively short duration.
In the interim, for programs that have chosen not to require GRE scores for admission, we request

That note will appear on the Reader Form in Slate and cue our staff to process the application as a special exception until Slate is fully calibrated with the new GRE policy, after which, the system will process these cases as direct admits.
