I donít know if thereís an industry standard per se, but the majority of schools seem to use the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) program certification and then certify in turn their student staff.
The CRLA offers levels one, two, and three certification from beginner through master tutor.
There are other certifications out there for professional tutors and for learning center administrators, but Iím not sure itís what youíre asking here.
