Dear All,
please consider submitting an abstract for the Paris Sunbelt 2020 Session on: Networks, communities and neighbourhood-based organizations

Submission URLhttps://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=sunbelt2020
Deadline: 31 January 2020
Organizers: Andrea Salvini (University of Pisa), Francesca Pallotti (University of Greenwich) and Guido Conaldi (University fo Greenwich)

Session Description: The networked nature of local communities and neighbourhoods creates complex social systems composed of individuals, groups, families, third-sector organizations, and public institutions. Interdependence among these groups of actors shapes communities in a dynamic way and affects the daily lives of citizens and their well-being at multiple levels. These groups of actors experiment with new ways of sharing assets and resources, and develop opportunities for informal political and social mobilisation. Social interactions - both offline and online - become channels through which these new forms of social participation and engagement manifest themselves.
The session aims at bringing together innovative theoretical and analytical approaches to the study of social networks in neighbourhoods and local communities. We invite contributions that include, but are not limited to, new theoretical and methodological approaches for the study of:
• Local communities and neighbourhoods as systems of networks;
• Networks of third-sector organisations;
• Ecological, social, and political mobilization in neighbourhoods and local communities;
• Cases studies of network interventions in neighbourhoods and local communities;
• The interdependencies between offline and online network interactions between individuals in neighbourhoods and local communities

Please limit all abstracts to 500 words, not including the title
