I have checked the photos, we got last year from Z. Sohou from Benin (not Sierra Leone) It could be H. dakarensis but the spicules are necessary to say.
I have the papers from Cherbonnier (in french) for this region.
I attach 2 photos
We have to stay home...so time to work
Best regards

Dear colleagues
I do not know, I have to check some photos which came from Sierra Leone last year?....
We did not examine Mediterranean nor Eastern Atlantic species for the FAO 2012 book if I remember correctly , as 10 years ago these were not much developed.
Yes spicules are necessary ...if possible, in pieces of tegument in alcool 90%
Best regards

Dear Colleagues

Taking first steps (trying to locate funds) to assist Liberia in building a management framework around an on-going sea cucumber fishery that is coming under greater pressure.

This is one of the main species in the catch – any takers on a suggested ID please?

Thanks,

Kim
