Join Dr. Kristen Galvin (Assistant Director for Graduate Engagement, UF Center for the Humanities and the Public Sphere) for a discussion on how to improve your academic presentation skills and make the most out of your conference experience. Dr. Galvin will share her knowledge of presenting papers and chairing and moderating panels at national conferences across various disciplines of the humanities.

 

During this webinar, participants will learn strategies for:

  • Translating academic writing into an oral presentation “script”
  • Designing clear and effective PowerPoint slides
  • Engaging and knowing your audience
  • Preparing for technological mishaps
  • Navigating the Q&A
  • Networking

  2. Once you login, on the top of the page click on the “Workshops” tab
  3. Under “Register” click the box and then “Submit”
  4. After you complete this process, you will receive an email confirmation
