Subject: [UFRESEARCH-L] NSF PAPPG 20-1 Updates

Good morning,

The National Science Foundation's (NSF) new PAPPG 20-1 has been released and will be effective for proposals submitted or due, and awards made, on or after June 1, 2020.

NSF conducted a webinar on February 6, 2020, covering the significant changes to the Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__nsf.gov_publications_pub-5Fsumm.jsp-3Fods-5Fkey-3Dnsf20001&d=DwMFAw&c=sJ6xIWYx-zLMB3EPkvcnVg&r=E3HZ1ZvN8AXlrkYM_vv1-A&m=GoQaHD8AFA4agPOdeEmR88JWsVlsNPCAk290ewzJM3A&s=VByGmKB_cABylFK1yY_8d22YlzTycK_yeTbFXCS5IbA&e=> (PAPPG) (NSF 20-1). The webinar is now available for on-demand viewing<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__www.nsfpolicyoutreach.com_resources_2-2D6-2D20-2Dpappg-2Dwebinar-2Dtraining-2Dfor-2Dthe-2Dexternal-2Dcommunity_&d=DwMFAw&c=sJ6xIWYx-zLMB3EPkvcnVg&r=E3HZ1ZvN8AXlrkYM_vv1-A&m=GoQaHD8AFA4agPOdeEmR88JWsVlsNPCAk290ewzJM3A&s=ck4KvFqAUlGQSd4M06b5kALvCWU2RsTezS6VxJ5dDiE&e=>.

To assist the UF community, we have highlighted some of the key changes in the attached pdf, however, you are encouraged to review the by-chapter summary of changes provided in the Introduction section of the PAPPG.

While this new version of the PAPPG (NSF 20-1) becomes effective on June 1, 2020, in the interim, the guidelines contained in the current PAPPG (NSF 19-1) continue to apply.

Please reach out to our office should you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
