Virtual Graduate Student Appreciation Week

The UF Office of Graduate Diversity Initiatives and the UF Division of Graduate Student Affairs would like to make you aware of "Virtual Graduate Student Appreciation Week" programming taking place this week. Graduate Student Appreciation Week is the University of Florida's annual celebration of the diverse contributions its graduate students bring to campus and the community. To adhere to social distancing guidelines, we will be offering our programming in an online format this year. Please note that this information, complete with links to Zoom and appropriate online platforms, has already been shared with the graduate student community.

Graduate Student Appreciation Week is the University of Florida's celebration of the diverse contributions its graduate students bring to campus and the community.

This year, we'll be celebrating online to keep us connected through virtual chat, games, movies, and music while keeping safely apart amid the current health crisis.

Join your peers in five Zoom chat rooms hourly to share your thoughts on a variety of topics:

1 p.m. General Chat
Join us to talk about anything that's on your mind!

2 p.m. Research and Writing
How are you adjusting to working from home? Share strategies for success, discuss your research and writing, and learn from each other's experiences.

3 p.m. Wellness Retreat
During this stressful, uncertain time, self-care is vital for your physical and mental well-being. Exchange experiences and strategies with your peers as to what is working (or not working) for you.

4 p.m. Timeline Talk
What's new on your Instagram timeline or Twitter feed? Have you participated in any of the latest social media challenges? Fill us in and discuss the topic of the day/week!

5 p.m. Wine and Cheese
At the end of the work day, savor your beverage of choice and join us to unwind and recap your day.
