Update on Emergency Admission Test Policy Adjustment Due to COVID-19

In response to questions and feedback from colleges and departments about the temporary emergency GRE/GMAT/FE admission test policy adjustment announced on June 18, 2020, please note:

1.     The Slate coding has been modified to explicitly include applicants seeking admission for Fall 2021 along with the Fall 2020, Spring 2021, and Summer A/B/C 2021, as semesters covered by this temporary GRE/GMAT/FE waiver.

2.     This means that applicants who want to start their graduate degree programs Fall 2020, Spring 2021, Summer A/B/C 2021, or Fall 2021 (and any “off calendar” or modular programs falling within those four semesters) will not be required to submit GRE/GMAT/FE scores if your college agrees to this temporary emergency waiver.

3.     For degree programs that chose to retain GRE/GMAT/FE requirements despite this temporary emergency waiver, please do not approve applicants on your Slate screen until their scores are posted in their Slate file or they provide PDF copies of their unofficial score reports. This is because Slate’s coding has been adjusted to ignore missing GRE/GMAT/FE scores for applicants who want to start their degree programs Fall 2020, Spring 2021, Summer A/B/C 2021, or Fall 2021, in order to expedite processing.
