Peer academic coaching and professional academic success coaching are programs provided within the learning centers at the University of Central Florida and Florida Gulf Coast University. This webinar presents the detailed transition to a fully online program during the spring 2020 term. Participants will learn about each department, what resources were utilized, testimonials from staff about their experiences, and lessons learned by staff at each institution.

Through the three tenants of Research, Training and Service the Kortschak Center for Learning and Creativity uses a sustainable, multi-disciplinary, and clinical approach to delivering academic coaching services to students with learning differences and all USC students.

This workshop will outline the Kortschak model of support and offer adaptations for your center. Participants will have an opportunity to: assess their campus and community resources, discuss working with ‘Gen-Z’ students, and beneficial faculty engagement and partnerships.

1. Understand and identify the benefits of providing a clinical structure to providing academic coaching services.
2. Understand and identify the benefits of providing Occupational Therapy students in an academic setting

Summary: With the sudden transition to e-learning this year, Supplemental Instruction programs have been tasked with shifting their services to a virtual platform. We train our SI Leaders to be flexible and create contingency plans for their sessions, but are we, as program coordinators, doing the same when it comes to our programming? 
This session will introduce effective methods of virtual support that maintain the integrity of the SI model. 
Participants will learn:
·       Logistics to move an existing SI program to a virtual platform
·       Steps to ensure compliance with SI certification standards
·       Ways to train SI Leaders to use collaborative learning techniques especially conducive to online platforms
·       Strategies to strengthen relationships between SI Leaders and students and SI Leaders and program coordinator(s)

Online learning assistance is often reactionary and imitative, spurred by external forces and created by transferring what happens in a face-to-face environment to an online one. This webinar will walk participants through an instructional design approach to online learning assistance--a thoughtful, deliberative method that places student success at the forefront, maximizes institutional resources, is built for effective assessment and evaluation, and allows for sustainability and scalability over time.

Learning objectives:
1) Participants will understand basic principles of instructional design as applied to online learning assistance
2) Participants will develop the skills to conduct basic needs’ analyses at their own institutions
3) Participants will have an increased awareness of the models, modalities, platforms, and resources available when planning online learning assistance
