Online Learning Assistance by Design, 8/14/20 12:00 PM EDT https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/2595635099376235792
Presented by Wendy Simmerman, Past-President UCLCA, Brigham Young University.
Online learning assistance is often reactionary and imitative, spurred by external forces and created by transferring what happens in a face-to-face environment to an online one. This webinar will walk participants through an instructional design approach to online learning assistance--a thoughtful, deliberative method that places student success at the forefront, maximizes institutional resources, is built for effective assessment and evaluation, and allows for sustainability and scalability over time.
Learning objectives:
1) Participants will understand basic principles of instructional design as applied to online learning assistance
2) Participants will develop the skills to conduct basic needs’ analyses at their own institutions
3) Participants will have an increased awareness of the models, modalities, platforms, and resources available when planning online learning assistance

Strategic planning for the Learning Center, 10/9/20 12:00 PM EDT https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/3946198217122445328
Presented by Geoffrey Bailey NCLCA President, Executive Director, U of Louisville – REACH. Strategic planning is an essential, iterative process whereby learning center professionals can develop a comprehensive approach to evaluating the current and emerging needs of our students, the political landscape of our campuses, the available resources (time, money, space, technology, etc.), and key metrics/data derived from delivery of services to our students. Moreover, it enables us to be deliberate in both our thinking and performance, which is increasingly critical in an era of increased fiscal uncertainty and political pressures from key stakeholders.

Learning Objectives:
