Hi all,
In the spring of 2018, our tutoring program was directed to use EAB. At that time, the system was fraught with problems. The EAB service rep was no help, actually she was rather combative. She no longer works with them. The appointment scheduling was incompatible with walk-in services. The data reports were fixed along EAB design; we could not pull raw data, nor sort EAB data reports easily into spreadsheets. Bringing these short-comings forward to our superiors, higher administration gave us a reprieve.
Since spring of 2018, the same basic structural programming of the EAB system has been improved and re-named Navigate. Our advising staff uses it university-wide. My tutoring program is trying to participate with the alert system, but we will not use the scheduling platform.
It is 100% correct that a knowledgeable coordinator is required to set-up the permissions; proper role designations and permissions are crucial.  If more than one campus unit is required to use the system, usually those units must share global settings within Navigate. Our campus-wide tutoring program and our athletic academic support tutoring operate very differently and to share global settings would require negotiation on changing practice in both programs.
Currently we use WCOnline for scheduling tutoring services. It is relatively easy to use and the reports are good and meet most of my reporting requirements.  If I want specific, certain raw data, however, I must sift through the past schedules.

Hope this helps,
Lynn

I would love to get in on this conversation! We have always struggled to use EAB for tutoring (I believe due to the way our roles are set up and general lack of training). Would it be possible to escalate this to a Zoom discussion?

Hello, fellow learning center professionals.  My learning center is looking in to using EAB Navigate for appointments for tutoring.  I am emailing you fine folks to see if anyone out there has experience using this platform for your center and would have a few moments to chat.  Like everyone else, we are trying to prep for social distancing needs and think appointments is the way to do that (we are normally a drop-in center).  But the logistics of using this platform is a challenge.  I was hoping someone else has successfully used EAB Navigate for this function.

I have searched the archives and canít find any emails referencing EAB or Navigate starting in covid times.

Thanks, everyone, for any help you all can provide.
