Dear Germany-based socnet colleagues,
I am circulating a call for proposals for a social network analysis project investigating African countries' responses to COVID-19. It is targeted at research consortia consisting of at least one Germany based research institution and at least one Africa based national public health institute.
It would be great to get submissions from you. Feel free to distribute to anyone who might be interested.
Below and attached is the most relevant information. You can contact me in case you have any questions or Sameh Al-Awlaqi (e-mail below).
The Evidence-Based Public Health Unit (ZIG2) at the Centre for International Health protection of the RKI has issued a call for proposals to analyze response networks around COVID-19 in Africa. This call for proposals is aimed at research projects which employ social network analysis to gain a better understanding of how stakeholders collaborated across sectors to manage and reduce the impact of COVID-19 in African countries. The idea is to understand how different networks have contributed to, or impeded, the success of the response.
The budget for one research project should not exceed 50.000€. The main condition of the proposal is that an African institution partners with a German institution to conduct the study. Timelines are tight, with application by 5 Aug, start of project as early as 1 Sep and end of project by Jan 2021. Attached, you will find the call for proposals and the guidelines for application.
Please do not hesitate to contact Sameh Al-Awlaqi ([log in to unmask]) for any questions you have.
All the best,
