Dr. Byron Moraski (UF Political Science): Professor Moraski's teaching and research focus on the evolution, operation, and manipulation of political institutions and electoral rules. His research considers the links between federal elections and gubernatorial selection in the Russian Federation and their influence on the country's post Soviet trajectory. Dr. Moraski was a Visiting Fulbright Scholar at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (Kyiv, Ukraine) in 2014. Dr. Susan Paulson (UF Latin American Studies): Much of Dr. Paulson's research explores ways in which gender, class, and ethno-racial systems interact with biophysical environments, including bodies and landscapes. She was awarded a Fulbright Scholar Research Award from 2018-20. The title of her research is "Changing expectations and challenges of masculinity among Ecuadorian workers." Dr. Karen Reed (UF Nursing): Dr. Reed is primarily involved in facilitating experiential learning in the undergraduate nursing program. Additionally, she designed and teaches a pre-nursing elective on cross cultural communications in health care. She was the first nurse to receive a Fulbright Scholar Award to Cambodia in 2013-2014. Dr. Stefan Szyniszewski (Durham University, United Kingdom): Dr. Szyniszewski's primary interest is in hierarchical structures such 3D woven technical composites, cellular metals with ceramic segments or multi-scale (fractal-like ) lattices. He also develops materials models, novel simulation techniques and characterizes these multi-scale structures experimentally. He was awarded a Fulbright Award to study structural dynamics at the University of Florida in 2005. Moderated by Carlos Maeztu (Citizen Scientist at the UF Clinical and Translation Science Institute and Board Member of the North Florida chapter of the Fulbright Association).
